About
Safari Cities™ provides the broad value chain integration needs of smallholder farmers in rural communities. We’re focused on the Nigerian market with the possibility of expanding the model across Africa. Our strategy increases smallholder farmer’s profits by driving down input costs, increasing farmer yield, and linking the smallholder farmer to the market.
We drive down costs through advanced mechanization equipment sharing and scheduling technology, buyer bargaining power created by scale, and by stimulating the processing of farmer harvests (value addition) locally within the community. We increase smallholder farmer’s yield by enforcing farming best practices through pre-negotiated, trained, service provider partners. We provide entrepreneurial opportunities for the youth and women through targeted recruiting and by providing incentives for this subgroup on our platform.
Some of the bye-products of our processes are accelerated rural community development, financial inclusion of rural smallholder farmers and the reversal of rural – urban drift.
